About
If you're here, something is weighing on you — and you want to work with someone who takes it seriously and knows what they're doing. Jonathan brings over a decade of clinical experience to that work, across settings that don't leave much room for guesswork: inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, forensic and correctional environments, and addictions treatment. What that range gives you is a therapist with a grounded, real-world perspective on human struggle — and on the resilience it takes to move through it.
Much of his work is with working professionals and couples navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. His training runs from a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Substance Abuse Counseling at Northwestern State University through a master's in Marriage & Family Therapy/Counseling — and rather than applying a single method to everyone, he draws on CBT, ERP, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions and tailors the approach to what's actually driving your distress. Sessions are conducted entirely via telehealth, so you can do this work from wherever you're comfortable in Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, or Minnesota.
Credentials
Services
Generalized anxiety, panic, social anxiety, and the relentless mental noise that makes it hard to be present. We'll work to interrupt the patterns keeping you stuck.
The cycle of intrusive thoughts and compulsions is exhausting — and you already know that temporary relief only makes it worse. Jonathan uses ERP, the gold-standard treatment for OCD, to help clients break that cycle and regain control.
Depression is more than persistent sadness — it's the withdrawal, the fog, the loss of motivation and meaning that makes everyday functioning feel like a significant effort. Treatment is structured and evidence-based, with a clear path forward.
Major life changes — career shifts, relocation, relationship changes, loss, or the disorientation of not knowing what comes next — can challenge your sense of identity and direction. Together we'll bring structure and clarity to the uncertainty, so you can move forward with a clearer sense of who you are and where you're headed.
Conflict cycles, communication breakdowns, and interpersonal patterns affect everyone — from personal relationships to team dynamics. Drawing on direct experience with professional athletes and high-performers, these sessions address the relational pressures that follow you off the field and out of the office.
Whether you're working to rebuild communication and reconnect, or navigating a meaningful transition together, sessions are structured, even-handed, and focused on the goals the two of you share.
Chronic stress, professional exhaustion, and the erosion that comes from giving without replenishing. We'll work on practical, sustainable changes that help you find a steadier baseline — and protect it.
When your career is in transition, your identity feels tied to how you perform, or leadership pressure and workplace conflict start to wear on you — these concerns deserve real clinical attention. We'll treat them with the seriousness they warrant, within the structure of individual therapy.
Approach
"Clarity and precision — not endless introspection for its own sake."
The work is purposeful and structured. I draw on proven, evidence-based methods and match them to what's actually bringing you in — not a one-size-fits-all protocol. Every session has a clear direction, and you'll always know what we're working toward and why.
Specialized Engagements
A separate tier of work for elite athletes and organizations. These engagements operate outside the standard clinical model — tailored in structure, scope, and access. Pricing and details available upon direct inquiry.
For competitive and professional athletes navigating the psychological demands of elite sport — performance anxiety, focus under pressure, identity beyond competition, and the mental edge that separates good from exceptional. Engagement structure is built around your schedule and competitive calendar.
InquireFor organizations and executives seeking measurable improvements in behavioral performance, leadership effectiveness, and psychological workplace health. Engagements are confidential, outcomes-focused, and scoped to your organization's specific goals — from individual leadership development to team-wide consultation.
InquireProfessional Development
Jonathan holds the Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) designation in both Louisiana and Texas, qualifying him to provide individual clinical supervision to LPC Associates and provisionally licensed counselors working toward full licensure.
Supervision is conducted via Zoom and structured around the supervisee's clinical caseload, professional development goals, and state licensure requirements. Each engagement is tailored to where the supervisee is in their development — not a one-size-fits-all framework.
Investment
Payment is due at time of service. A credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card on file is required to schedule. 24 business hours' notice required to cancel without charge. Good Faith Estimate provided per the No Surprises Act. Superbills available for out-of-network reimbursement.
Why some clients choose self-pay
Paying privately keeps your care fully your own. There's no requirement for a mental health diagnosis to justify treatment to an insurer, no external limit on the number of sessions, and no insurance company involved in decisions about your care. For many clients, that means more privacy and more flexibility in how the work unfolds. Insurance remains available and welcome — this is simply about giving you the choice.
